VIEW FROM TOP OSSA AND OLYMPUS.jpgForest road.jpgVia the forest (from Volos 1.5 hours)
From Volos up into the mountain via Kerrasia to Ano Kerrasia where you come off the tarmac for 25 miles, you won’t see another building till you reach Mitzela.  Instead spectacular views back down the mountain to the plain of Larisa , north to Mt. Osa and on a clear day Mt Olympus. Then on into the forest where the road is flanked by mature beach, chestnut and plain trees.

Zagora SqPOURI VIEW.jpgVia the Vilages (from Volos 2.5 hours)
Alternatively you can go via the Pelion villages. On leaving Volos you wind your way up the mountain with views back down to Volos and the port. At the top of the mountain you pass the ski area of Pelion and the village of Hania then you cross into the lush tree covered slopes back down to Zagora the primary town of Pelion with its traditional stone roofs. Volos to Zagora 25 miles. From Zagora it is 5 miles to Pouri which is a traditional working village surrounded by Apple orchards. From Pouri you continue north for 8 miles through orchards on a part concrete road till you get to the causeway beach and enter the Mitzela forest again you wont see another house till you reach the property 4 miles later.
